I was first drawn to software when I saw how it could be used in the medical field. I was working a summer job in high school organizing and categorizing studies for Confirma, Inc. (now part of Merge Healthcare). Now I'm working on a project to apply an algorithm that extracts line drawings from 3D models to some of these studies. An example of my algorithm in action on other models can be seen here. I now work as a Software Engineer for Google.org. The mission statement is: "Google.org uses Google’s strengths in information and technology to build products and advocate for policies that address global challenges."  Finally, I want to give back to future generations. I've been involved with outreach for clubs like the Society of Women Engineers and Women Involved in Software and Hardware.
